I don't mean the shingles vaccine, I mean I have heard that you can still get shingles after having had the chickenpox vaccine! I know there is a shingles vaccine, but that is not available unless you are over 60.

That's correct. Shingles (herpes zoster) is an immune system disease, and has painful outbreaks.

Generally, one would contract shingles after having chicken pox, but the vaccine can also trigger the disease. The chance is so slight, however, that it makes more sense to be vaccinated against chicken pox than not, even at the risk of contracting shingles.

yes you can get shingles wheter you have or have not had the vaccine for chickenpox. They are both in the herpes family and there is no vaccine to prevent shingles. If you ever get shingles, you will know. Unlike chickenpox, that can occur all over the body (as well as inside of the mouth and other mucous membranes) shingles occur primarily around the waist or on the trunk area and are generally thought to be brought on by stress. the virus is already present in your body and stress causes it to surface, so to speak.

You can get either at any time, though since you've had the vaccine, you should be fine (for the chickenpox, that is).

People who have had chickenpox, tend to develop shingles when they are much older. But of course, not everyone.

I got diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about three years back, when I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I know a lot of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/EGnMo everything improved.

Not only was I able to clear away all remnants of the herpes virus from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This program provided the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

I'm not sure, but I heard there's a relatively recent vaccine against shingles.
