I've been dating a man for 3 months now. We've made a lot of progress and he's always made his feelings clear. He told me a month ago that he is madly in love with me and that I'm his kind of perfect. He has always sent really sweet text messages after we'd part ways about how I made him crazy and how he wanted to plan a future with me. Suddenly, his life has gotten hectic and is full of stress and things that are troubling him. The text messages are few and there hasn't been much said that is sweet like it used to be. Emails take longer to be answered and we don't see each other quite as often. The last time we were together he said how much he'd missed me... but I'm still hesitant and wondering if anything has changed. Is it safe to assume that this is quite normal and will pass when the stress does? Or is he having second thoughts and not sure how to address me? He's closer to 40 and I didn't think he'd be keen on game playing, so perhaps it really is just a rough patch?

Oh, this totally just happened to me. I did the wrong thing, so this is what I've learned: Men do not think as much as women do. It's as simple as that. If he's really busy, and things are on his mind, like work, family, etc., chances are he's not doing this to you on purpose. He's probably just not as available to check the e-mail. (Most guys I know like to take their time to respond to e-mails beyond one sentence.) So in his mind, he says, "okay, I'll do this later," but because of the stress, he forgets. But it's not because you need to change anything. The key is to remain the person he started dating. I started freaking out on the guy I was dating because I didn't know where he was for a week. Turns out he was just with his family, but then he slapped the old, "let's just be friends," phrase on me.
What I learned is that when you really like someone, it shows the first few weeks, but as things become routine, it doesn't mean they grow old. Support him, listen to him, but don't badger him. The important thing is that he knows that while there's stress at where it is, he'll know he can talk to you and unwind.

Give him time to deal with the stress but you would be really helping if you could just be there and understand him ,, it dont sound like you should be worried , try to plan a night out and he might need that night to unwind with his love , be sure you let him know how you feel,, dont worry girl

Life is not always happy, bad times come too so just be with him in good and bad days and things will get better. If you think you can't wait any longer talk about your thoughts and let him know how you feel about the situation when he is better. Good Luck!

sometimes things come up in life that you just cant control. if he misses you and from how you describe it he sounds genuine. try to suprise him with something relaxing like a movie at home in pjs something fun and relaxing. and believe me he doesnt love you anyless. call him and see if hes free you know make it so that your the stress reliver dont add to it.

He may just be stressed about things and he may need to know that you are really there for him. I have been in that position before myself. Sometimes we just really need to know that we have someone who truly loves us.
