My friends and I use to purposely go out and buy the same things so we could look alike in High School and younger. We just loved being alike and all the boys always gave us compliments-Needless to say we Got a lot of Attention,Which of course young girls love.
Today as I am 36-years old I still just find it to be a compliment that they really appreciate my style enough that they will go out and try to find something like it.
I have a tendency since I am older now and have for a while to be unique and not so much like a Cookie Cut Girl, ya know what I mean? I have learned a lot on finding my own unique style and if someone wants to go to that much trouble to copy me then again I have to say- it's a compliment- I have a Friend who is constantly doing this all the time as a matter of fact.I know a lot of girls that become extremely enraged with this also. Beats me!I have no problem with it at all.She will try to get everything I get too-she is really pitiful-that she can't seem to find her self.

I personally like when people compliment and copy my style. I have even known people to buy the same cars because they liked what I was driving. I ask women all the time who did their hair because as a black woman I am always looking for simple and great hairstyles. I may not necessarily go and buy the same outfit but I might look for similar shoes or bag styles.
Some people though pride themselves on being unique and want to maintain that so they get upset when others copy them. Also outfits are very personal and what looks good on one person may not look good on the next.

I cannot see why that would be offensive. I suppose I wouldn't really think about it one way or another, but if anything I would take it as a compliment. What a silly reason to be upset. As long as no harm is done to man, woman, animal, or child, I am pretty ok with most anything.

i'm getting sooooo mad at my hater acquaintances through fact they are constantly like, he's a woman. he's gay. i'm like-No, he's not yet could it even remember if he grew to become into? and then they get all uncomfortable and close up. he's appropriate and looks slightly female, ok, so what? he's an wonderful singer. So, enable's flow on and settle for the certainty that he's a guy. no longer a he-she. no longer gay. no longer a woman. and not no longer no longer a transvestite, for the sake of all it extremely is holy. bill lives on! He does not enable it challenge him. they could say what they choose yet he's not a woman, etc. he's a candy guy who happens to look slightly female. flow on haters. flow on.

I wouldnt get pissed off, but I dont really think I would be elated either. If its someone who I hang around with all the time...I would change my hair as soon I got home, It really bothers me when friends have to be identical, it also bothers me when twins dress the same way...but if its some girl I barely see, I wouldnt really care

I wouldn't mind a hat or accessory to be copied, but an entire outfit would bother me. Hasn't ever happened since I"m fashion retarted. The hair would bother me too, I think.
I'm supposed to be an individual and creative. That's why it would bother me.

I wouldn't be offended, but not really flattered either if they began copying me a lot. That's just wierd...I prefer to be an individual, not have little clones of me running around.
People can admire a style of someone's and even copy it somewhat, but they need to tweak it enough to make it different and "their own".

If it's a teen who does this, they're looking up to you...feel good.
If it's NOT a teen, but an older woman...this woman needs counseling! Way too insecure...of course, you could give her pointers and say it's coming from a magazine...or, from a high-end salon!
Good morning!
