Jennifer it is not a sin to be a vegetarian. I am a christian and am one. In fact Daniel was a vegetarian also. and to be honest the Bible actually says that we are not to eat the blood of an animal. In order to not eat the blood then you would have to eat jerky. almost all of the meat on the market today is not drained properly of the animals blood, hence one reason I became a vegetarian. Don't take other peoples word for things get into the word and study it for yourself. You know the Bible also says that there will be no death in heaven, so what do you think that we will eat there? the same food that God had originally intended Adam and Eve to eat back in the garden of Eden. You guessed it a vegetarian diet God be with you in your search for truth hope this helped

Honestly, I cannot think of why it would be a sin to be a vegetarian unless you are literally worshiping the created over the creator.
Other wise, it just seems like a personal choice of diet to me.
However, the health benefits of being a vegetarian are not good. I would not recommend it. If you are one, or are considering to be one, make sure you do your research if you haven't already.

No it is not a sin to be a vegetarian or a meat eater. It is about what you like and why....
Personally, I eat little meat, because I prefer veggies.....but if I want meat then I eat it.
To be concerned about animal welfare is not "worshipping" the animal. The only advice or caution I have for you is to consider your level of committment. It seems only fair that if one refuses to beef because of concern for the cow, they should also give up wearing leather!! You get neither without taking the animals life......

Define the word sin. An act that violates a moral-rule. It is not immoral in anyway to stop eating animals altogether. No it is not a sin.

No, there is no sin within being a vegetarian. And for that matter, there's also no sin within eating meat. I don't, personally; I find it repulsive and unnecessary, quite frankly, but it's not sin either way.

Its a personal choice. What upsets me is people who try and make meat eaters out to be murderers. God said 2 things concerning animals. One, kill and eat. Two, God put animals on the earth for use of man. We must pray then act.

Unless your worshiping or putting your veggies before God, your not committing any sin and the person who told you that is a blasphemer.

Not at all.
"As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean (i.e. meat), then for him it is unclean."
Also
"One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him"
14th chapter of Romans.
Unlike Paul I don't believe in the connection between a weak faith and vegetarianism. If you want to avoid meat thats perfectly fine.
God wont say, "Well, you accepted Christ BUT you don't eat McDonalds bigmacs? To hell with you!".
