I've been taking 2 hydrocodones per day for the last two days for dental pain, and will take my last one tomorrow morning (if I'm still in pain) and would like to go out for drinks w/ friends later in the evening. I'm afraid of mixing the two, so is that a safe amount of time between taking the pill and drinking?

if you can, try taking motrin instead of the vicodin if you're still in pain.

the medication SHOULD be out of your system by the time you want to have drinks but if it's not, the alcohol can make the side effects stronger which can cause you to feel confused, dizzy, and overly sleepy which isn't safe.

i would avoid the alcohol until you're not taking the pain killers at all anymore-it's safer that way

I also take Hydrocodone for pain, and my bottle says every 6 hours. So I would assume that means after 6 hours it's out of your system. But ask your doc first.

do no longer over do it. the clarification you're actually not meant to drink at the same time as on vicodin is with the help of the fact the acetaminophen in it places your liver in over-force. in view which you took over the max 1000mg in one dose, you may desire to know this. ingesting alcohol additionally does this comparable component. you may desire to be nice, yet needless to say dont try this usually. The vicodin will nonetheless be on your device this nighttime, so drink fairly some water to evade a hangover.

This type of pain medication will stay in your system for up to three days or longer. You don't give enough information to give an accurate estimation.

If your ill, why are you drinking alcohol and taking pain meds. I would consult my doctor if I were you, you could bring harm to yourself.
