The Bible does not say anything about Christmas.
Celebrations during this time of year actually originate with celebrating the winter solstice and have nothing to do with Christ at all. The only thing Christian about Christmas is the name which was slapped onto the holiday during the 5th century A.D.
By the way, if you really read the nativity story, you would see that Christ was born in the spring or summer, not winter. Why would shepards be tending flocks during the winter? They would have their flocks in the stables during the cold weather.

Giving is for every day of the year, even the ones that leap past us sometimes. The best course of action is to always remember that memories are some times vague and are often not the whole truth and nothing but the truth so it is imperative that you use wisdom and a higher guidance to see the nights and days through, it is somewhat easy to figure some of the sources others are not seen as easy but there is always a reason for what is done it is cause and effect in its simplest forms sometimes.

Jesus Himself says it is more blessed to give than to recieve. Whether or not a new car honours Christ depends on your motivation for giving it. If you give your friend a car because he needs it and because you want to honour Christ and what He has done for you in this way, well and good--you are meeting a need. If you're doing it to show off your riches, then not so much.

The bible doesn't always say things in clear words, but we do know that the three wise men came and gave Jesus the gifts. Sometimes we just get examples in the bible. Oh and if you give your friend a car, your being nice, but that doesn't mean you honoring Christ, if that was an example of you question it was a bad one.

We are only told to remember the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Nothing else.
But if your heart is in the right place there is nothing wrong with being generous. That's biblical.
Christmas isn't in the bible. But neither is the word Bible and we still call it that.

There is no Spirit of Christmas in the Bible because there is no birthday of Christ given to give presents to others. There is only one place in the Bible were people give each other gifts. That is because they are happy the two witness of God have been killed. Revelation 11: 10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

It does not say the spirit of Christmas is giving. That is a man-made statement. If your friend needed a car, you'd be honoring God if you did it with that intent.

"And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward." Matthew 10:42

If we are rewarded for a cup of cold water, rest assured you will be rewarded for a vehicle.I have given cars and trucks to people in the name of Jesus. And have never been without transportation for me and my family. We are encouraged all through the scripture to give in the name of Jesus.

Taunting Christians with your views about Christmas is very selfish. We celebrated the Birth of Christ this year with family and friends. We all know that Jesus probably was not born on Dec. 25th, but we felt to recognize His Birth of a virgin, and no I am not Catholic. We didn't tell the children about santa Claus. We have eight children and 13 grandchildren and didn't buy one gift.My folks put up a christmas tree, it was really pretty and no one was defiled by it.We read the story out of Luke 2 about His Birth, we prayed and thanked Him for leaving heaven so that we might be saved.
To us everyday is Christmas, but their is nothing wrong with having a special day to remember and be reminded of what He has done.Doing away with Christmas would do away with Christ for some that never speak His Name.Christmas is a reminder to those who are ungodly. It provides Christians an opportunity to show what the coming of Christ really meant.

Please forgive me if this sounds mean, it is not meant to be that away. And please don't think that I am suggesting that you go against your own convictions. But to condemn others for taking a part in this occasion is not right. If your brother can eat the meat that offends you, let him eat it.

((((((SISTER SANDY))))) Imagine meeting you here? I gave you the thumbs up, not the thumbs down.I hope you can still love me.I love you.

The Bible actually makes no mention of Christmas specifically. It does say "There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving." (Acts 20:35)

Christmas is never mentioned in the Bible. It is a man-made holiday. We are not told when Jesus was born only that he was and why. December 25 was set as his birthday to rival the pagan tradition known as the winter solstice
