I just got one for Xmas and I need to know what Standard E tuning is and how to achieve that with the Chromatic Fender Tuner.

OK the biggest string is E then A, D, G, B, and E. That's the notes you tune to.

wholenote.com has lessons for beginners and articles for guitar. Also Guitar for Dummies is a good book if you are teaching yourself.
