Islamic standpoint: when bad things happen to you it is to test your faith after all the clarificaition Allah, arabic for God, has sent down and blessings, if you will turn to him and strengthen or if you'll turn away and allow satan to play with your mind.

Never doubt God's love for you. It's unconditional. YOU are the APPLE OF HIS EYE!! That's straight from the Bible!
I'd recommend some alone time with the Father. Just talk (pray) to Him. I would also suggest you read the book of James if you have a Bible. It's only 5 chapters long so it gets right to the point from beginning to end and it talks about what you should do during unfaithful periods of your life.
God bless you, Christ brother. And think of your hard times as opprotunities to get closer to Christ.

Heb 12:3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
You might also try reading the book of Job.
In fact the whole Bible would seem to indicate that bad things happening are a poor measure of how much God likes us.
1Co 15:19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.

I used to sit there and suggest God doesn't exist, but then I'd just be an Atheist and I sure as hell don't want to be grouped with the extremes on that front, either.
So, instead, I would suggest you find the faith you require and look for positives. Unfortunately, pros cannot exist without cons or else everything would just be. Accept the balance of the universe

I would like to pray for you: Dear Heavenly Father - I lift this precious person up to You and ask that You fill them with Your peace & assurance of Your love. It's so hard sometimes when we are in the valleys of this life to believe You are with us every step of the way, but You are, because You said You would never forsake us and that You would be with us always! You said in Your Holy Word that we will have tribulations, but to be of good cheer, because You have already overcome anything we may be faced with. May we never forget to give You praise for all the blessings You have bestowed on us, and for the greatest gift of all, Your only Son, Jesus Christ. It's His Name I pray, Amen.
"Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." Psalm 31:24
Lovingly,
Virginia

ok, LOTS of bad things have happend to me.....My whole life has been revolved around "bad" things.....When I was a newborn I lived in a tent because my family had no home... later on in life, when I was 11 my Mom died of liver cancer...( I became a Christian when I was 11. ) From then on it "felt " like I never had a break from "bad" things....But I believe the Lord allows us to go through trials to make us stronger...and now I appreciate the trials that I have went through....I look at the fact that if my Mother hadn't of died then I may have never became a Christian, because when my mother was diagnosed with liver cancer, that was an eye opener to my family that we need to live for the Lord... Look at it this way...For every trial that you go through the Lord is helping you through it and the trial is making you stronger in Him...

God will never stop loving you! GOd tests us with trials in order to make us better and holier people! God detaches us from things which are sinful influences. Trust in God and don't worry! Just keep praying, he is your Father, he is taking good care of you! God bless.

It is good that you believe in God, but you should seriously think about whether you believe in the christian version of the judgmental punishing God.

Have you ever heard of Job? That same thing happened to Job. Job was faithful, and a good servent to God. Job's entire family was killed, he lost EVERYTHING he had. He was wealthy, had a good family, and God allowed Satan to take everything from Job, just as a test to see if Job remained faithful. And Job did remain faithful. Mabey God's trying to test you, who knows? If you would like to discuss this further, then please feel free to contact me: Hang in there pal, mabey I can help.
