I had a "stud" cat get out of the house (never been outside before) and ran off. He was scared! He was gone for a couple of days, and a friend told me about something that sometimes works! So, I did it, and it worked! You take something that the cat has slept/laid on (shirt, blanket, etc) and "hang" it outside on a clothesline, fence, or bush. The wind will "take the scent" and the cat will be able to "smell" his way home. My cat was gone for almost a week, but came home after I put the "smelly" blanket on the fence! Maybe this will work for you............Good luck.......

Yes - several. The first one never made it home, he was only quite young and was outside when quite a bad thunderstorm happened - we assume he took off scared and could not find his way back.
My current cat is a bit of a wanderer. She often disappears for a night or two. I used to panic - the first time I put out flyers, rang the local Vet, etc. Now I just think, she will be back when she's hungry and sure enough she is!
I hope you dont have a missing cat?!

I left the cat outside and while I was gone the other cats in my neighborhood picked on it. When I got home she was mad at me and ran off. She didn't come back and I never really put that big of an effort to look. Oh well, she's probably in a better place now.

Yeah, I hadn't wiped sparkling it out in some days and it in simple terms pooped and peed ideal next to the field. then they scratched at it like they're protecting it. One time I had a cat grab a shirt that develop into on the floor and canopy it. Cats won't use grimy clutter bins. i do no longer see a cat lacking the field each sometimes as a super deal. Even human adults pass over the bathroom now and lower back. This develop into probable your cat "I in lots of situations turn around to potty yet i think of I will to no longer shop somewhat time. nicely that did no longer experience ideal." in simple terms be sure your cat isn't commencing as much as have venture migrating the field.

my kitten waas gone for about 3 hours, but she had just beeen home for about 3 or 4 months, and she never really got a chance to explore. so one day my dad pulled up the garage door and she went out and didn't come back until 3 hours later.
but if your cat is missing and has a chip after 2 days atleast, i would call the place.

I had a cat a while ago now and she went missing for 3 days, then one morning she came home with her back legs dragging behind her! She almost died but managed to drag herself home she had about 3 ticks in her and was at the vets for over a week, they saved her. But how amazing for her to drag herself home!
