I don't think I will give my kids meat. They would have to make the choice themselves. Maybe around 5 Or 6

Depends on the age of the child. If your talking about a baby then you can feed the baby meat around 9 months.

There are many, many vegetarian cookbooks out there. I'd get some from your local library to give you some ideas. Also, brush up on nutrition - meat does have some nutritional benefits, and you'll have to do some research to know what vegetarian alternatives are best.

How old are your kids? Good luck preparing all those meals made of strictly veggies, fruits and soy creatively and enough that it meets all their diet needs, it's tedious, expensive and frankly, a big pain in the butt! Giving a little bit of everything, you know? Everything is moderation is the way to go or else you'll be getting stressed out.

I'm vegetarian myself. But, we're a mixed house - my husband & stepdaughter aren't. We're raising the little ones with some veg meals, some meals that contain meat & just asking them to eat enough healthy food off of their plates at each meal to fill them up.

i feed my kids food. all kinds, i dont restrain them to just one kind...
why should they remain vegetarian? if you buy pre made food you can get all types of meals, not just vegetarian. obviously they need to be old enough to eat food in the first place but have a look at the pre made food while doing the grocery's and you should get a rough idea as there all marked with age ranges.
