I made a PowerPoint in the 2003 version. I'm pretty sure there are extra features like animations that I've used. Will this be messed up if it is played on an older version of PowerPoint?

Hi,

If a presentation is opened in an older version of PowerPoint (97 through 2001) the file format is the same, so the presentation will open.

Older versions don't support motion paths. Nothing bad will happen, but the object won't move on the screen. If there is a newer animation either it won't play the animation or a different animation will be substituted.

Almost all versions of PowerPoint allow you to save your presentation in an older PowerPoint format. When you save out your presentation, look at the Save As Type drop down menu.
