And be honest............who picked him prior to the season starting?
(He was chosen in less than 2% of Yahoo's pools and less than 1% of TSN's pools)

I'm in a pool with 9 other guys. It's a pool where we have a live draft in late September and your lineup is set for the entire year. No changes, if you have an injury on your team, you suck it up and deal with it.

Lubers, about 20 years ago, several scouts got together after a junior game in Lethbridge and had a draft where you had to draft every player on an NHL roster. There were 87 rounds with 15 people (1305 players total). We kept this roster for 10 years, drafting each year to augment it. I had the second last pick of the original draft, I got 'stuck' with Sergei Makarov. He gave me a few years worth of points early on.

My son was in a draft like that in the early 90s. 20 guys got together and drafted players for hours and hours. Only your top 25 players counted. But each September, you got to protect 2 players....and then everything went back in the pool, and each player drafted a 3rd player....and then you protected 5 more and so on. Enough drafts to change your team up, and enough protects to hold on to up and comers. My son drafted Alexandre Daigle, kept protecting him year after year......even whien he had his mini-retirement. Good luck to you!

I have him and gave up Kovalchuk to get Pascal and Sean Avery in mid-November. I had plenty of goal scoring and only one quality goaltender at the time.
I picked up Kovalchuk (17) and Gaborik (20) in the first and second rounds of our 18 team league along with Nikolai Zherdev (233) in the 13th round. Picked up Antropov, Hemsky and Carter off the free agent pile so I was in decent shape offensively.
The Y!A Hockey league was not one of the 2% which drafted Pascal.
LITY: You should try to get control of one of the two unattended teams in our league. One has a decent roster and should be doing well, it's just that the person never maintains it.
LITY: I would be screwed if we were not permitted to make changes in our league. I would have drafted a little differently with those rules but I picked Dan Boyle as my first defenseman, Matt Carle with the 92 pick who has been a let down, Jonas Hiller with the 269 pick and Thomas Griess with the 200 pick (he didn't even make the roster) as my backup goaltenders, Rob Blake with the 125 pick (he has picked it up some but started very slowly) and Mikko Koivu with the 236 pick who has been out for a month.
Haley and Jay: Pascal looks like he straight off the set of the Hills Have Eyes or The People Under the Stairs!

LITY- I am going to be in one next year-a spot is opening up and I am next in line that is VERY in depth. It is all sports writers for different newspapers, a couple of local broadcasters etc. It has been going on for 15 years, you can sign players at any time. One guy (Willy Palov-local sports writer) picked up Crosby when he was 14. At the end of the year, you can protect so many roster guys and so many prospects, it is pretty interesting. The neat part is you have to keep your eye on the up and comers and sign them before they even get drafted. Looking forward to it.

I have 4 teams, I didn't draft him in either league. But I was the first to get him in 3 of them. :) I still have him on 2 of my teams, and on my other one I traded him and Avery for Ilya Kovalchuk :)
Do you play the yahoo fantasy hockey LITY?
~
I see LITY, well we have this 18 team league that is comprised of Answers regulars. You can change your lineup anyday with IR and everything. We only have 3 unattended teams; there were two users--Yellow Peppers and Red Peppers, they just disappeared off of Y!A and the fantasy thing. Then there's Chris, who got his account suspended, so he can't do anything either. I really like having 18 teams, it makes it more fun because you have to dig deeper for talent.

I have him in an auto draft on a crap league I'm doing this season (bunch of Floridians who don't know what they are doing). I wish I had him in my real "trash talking" league. Excuse the puck bunny, but that is one freaking ugly kid.

That has been the only prediction that I have made this year that has been right. I knew Puck's team was going to be good, picked him to take our league at the start.
