you tell him. Please dont expect him to read your mind...also dont expect him to do this if he is not confortable doing it...sure there is a compromise but dont try to change him...if he is not this kind of person then MAYBE he is not the right person for you

Print this and read it to him out loud. You deserve more than this and screw the whole "dont want to seem needy" You are his wife and love him and of course want to spend time with him and talk and laugh. You are not demanding his undivided attention, just SOME attention. Do not act as if you are asking too much becauswe if you do then he will think the same. You deserve this. So ask for it. Your letter made my heart cringe because you do sound in love and I cant tell you are hurting, not angry. If a stranger had a reaction to your feelings a husband that loves you will react even more. If he doesnt then sit down on your own and think about your options... maid/babysitter shouldn't be your only roles for the rest of your life. DO NOT settle.

Guys are not nearly as emotional as girls, so he may not realize that you feel lonely. This often happens to me, and I tell him that I feel lonely. Sometimes I tell him that even though he is right there with me. It often helps him understand that I just need him to talk to me about what he is thinking and feeling.

My bf and I just went through this same problem. What we did was we agreed on times where we would just sit together and talk or do nothing. Just sitting together silently was really helpful.

If this doesn't help, let him know how you feel. If he really enjoys being around you as much as you enjoy being around him, he will totally understand how much you want him.

define what a 'needy' conversation would be and then talk to him without coming over as too needy

also: find out more about him so you can be more of what he wants and then it will all come naturally

try subtle methods like scheduling things both of you could do together. Surprise him with tickets to things he likes and try to take part in it to show you are interested in those things because he is interested in those things, that way you coud become his first option no matter what it is he has plans to do.
