Find that real purpose for your being here in the first place. Only you know it and deep inside you know exactly what it is if you look very closely and listen very intently.

Make some quiet time and evaluate your life. Make a list of your qualities. Then look at the list. Prioritize your qualities based on what you think is the most prominent and valuable. Then ask yourself, "what am I doing with this quality?" You may find that you have a special talent for something that would be worth sharing with others. Years ago, I was laid off from a job in which I worked with a large group of people. Even though I was busy trying to find another job I still felt empty. After evaluating what was going on, I realized that I missed the interaction with people on a daily basis. Since I had no job to provide the interaction, I volunteered at a local school as a tutor. Not only did my need for interaction get met, but I felt better about myself for providing a much needed service in my community.
So, I think that you will find that meaning in your life will come from what you are able to share with others.

I give more meaning to my life by biting my tongue, smiling through clenched teeth, and volunteering once a week :-))
