i think this its more acceptable for her to expect a kiss on the cheek in the house, then let him walk to the bus stop alone

When my son was 16 it was not uncommon for me to give him a good-night kiss on the top of his head in front of his close friends. As a matter of fact, some of them received little night-night pecks too. However I would never show any overt affection outside the house, other than an occasional hug, if the situation was right. He never seemed embarrassed and some of his friends even said they wished they had the relationship he has with his parents. And no, it is not Oedipus, it's just a loving respectful parent-son bond. Getting back to the Q, I don't think that would be right for an every day occurrence. His friends would give him too much grief.

Depends on your family's relationship. If this is considered normal for you, then yes. If your son wants you to do this, then yes. If he's not comfortable with it, then no.
My 16 year old cousin still kissed his mother on the lips (just a family peck for those of you who are going 'ewwwwwwww' right now), and said "I love you" before he left the house every morning for school.

NO that has to be so embarrassing for him the only reason a mother should do that to her son at that age is if he has problems or asks his mother too & maybe they should talk about that and if the son says its ok then make sure he means it and isnt sayin that its ok just so he doesnt hurt his mothers feelings

It's OK to walk him to the bus stop but she should not give a kiss every day because other people can be cruel.

The boy may get teased by others, but it is definitely ok as long as it is not a french kiss.
