I want to serve God the way the bible says that I should. But I do not see my life going anywhere or producing ANY results (or as the bible calls it, fruit) I wrestle with all sorts of things, and am always falling down in my spiritual battles. I want to hear his voice, feel his presence; but I often feel alone instead of feeling either of the two I mentioned

I'm not trying to do things on my own, nor am I trying to live for God for my own purpose (if I were living for my own purpose I wouldn't be trying to live a christian life). I do pray, frequently.

you need to hook your self with real solid Christians who are living the life if a person is not spiritually strong or compromising don't fool yourself , this is not a christian to hang with Prayer is very important, keep praying and ask God to help you live holy.
Prayer line: billy graham and careful dollar and others have web sites and telephone numbers you can call to receive help and they really are help they have joined with me in prayers at some of the weakest moments of my life.
I will be praying for you as well that God helps you to be come spiritually stronger.

It appears to me you give into doubts. Stop doing that and start believing in God's word and be open to God's presence.
A simple analogy is like if you want to listen to a particular radio station you have to adjust the dial to the correct frequency. Then you will have no problem with reception. Faith is like that. Like a baby that is growing in faith that will take time. But it will come soon enough and God will meet you because He is the one broadcasting the good news into your heart.

mmmmm If your just lookin to serve GOD for your own purpose forget it doesnt work like that.When you give GOD your every thing meanin fallin on your knees and ask him for forgiveness for what ever mess your in...then just give him your heart every day ..when you walk outside say THANK YOU LORD for the air.get to know him first...nobody ever said GOD was a quik fix...PLEASE if that were so ever body would be doin it... A relationship takes time ...And your life is the way it is, because you dont have faith with faith you have to belive .the battles you have you have made on your own GOD is not about confusion THE DEVIL IS...just keep prayin dont give up....The Devil knows your gettin close thats why his tryin his best to make you fail its a trap to block your blessin just stay the course....
