For the equivalent volume you need 8 of the 5% 'ices' to one bottle of 40% vodka.

One 12 ounce Ice contains the same amount of alcohol as one 1.5 ounce shot of vodka. There are about 24 ounces in a 750 ml bottle of vodka. So it would take about 16 or so bottles of ice to equal a bottle of vodka.

* the 5% and 40% refer to alcohol by volume.

The common thought is that a 12 oz glass of beer has the same effect as a shot of vodka. Figure out how many 1 oz shots are in a bottle of vodka. (1.25 L = 45 0z +-)

You mean alcohol by volume? Looks like an 8:1 ratio to me, but if you are talking about the ability to get you snockered, remember that the Ice will have you peeing like a racehorse. Vodka will mess you up faster, give your keys to the designated driver, and be safe.
