Easy. Just turn 90 degrees to space-time and then "walk" forward.

The most complete and coherent description so far is Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, which postulates 3 space-like dimensions and one time-like dimension. Exactly where the axes of these dimensions are depends on your frame of reference - it is relative to you, hence relativity. So every time we undergo acceleration we are subtly altering how the different dimensions are laid out, but we aren't actually going to a different dimension. As apparently 3S+1T dimensional beings relying on biology to survive, we probably couldn't survive somehow going to a universe with fewer or more dimensions, so that seems to leave only a couple of possibilities:
1. Alternate universes - perhaps our 4D universe is embedded in a larger manifold of more dimensions (like a deck of cards can be seen as parallel 2D universes, our universe might be one of a stack of 4D universes in a 5+D space). Perhaps there is some way to travel between these parallel universes, and that could be seen as going into another dimension. This is the easiest to fathom, since the other universes could be very much like ours, with the same number of dimensions, same physics and so on, so our biology could continue to work and we could survive. It's not clear how to get to these other universes (singularities and black holes?), or even if they exist.
2. Perhaps our universe has more dimensions, but they are somehow "rolled up" in a way that makes the additional dimensions just about undetectable to us. String theory postulates additional rolled up dimensions in this way. It isn't clear that any travel to another dimension would be possible short of achieving unrealistically high energy and density, which would almost certainly kill us, so this particular approach seems less likely to lead to additional survivable dimensions.
Some of the speculations about tears in reality, black and white holes, and so on, have been used to theoretically allow for additional ways to get to other dimensions. Again, it isn't clear that the energy and density that might be required to achieve such things would allow for life.

I think that is called imagination.
Alice in Wonderland, through the looking glass.
For me science is a wonderland.
You can travel into the future but you need a powerful spaceship to do it.
As in Planet of the Apes.
Or creative writing where you explore meaning.

The ironic part of this question is that if you did enter another dimension, you probably would never realize it, at least not consciously, kind of like Donnie Darko without the 6 foot bunny rabbit.

For starters....you could try re-defining the word 'dimension' and go from there.
Individuality is a dimension of activity...'relationship' is a larger dimension of activity. Master the first, become aware of the second and you're well on your way.
I can't guarantee that it won't kill you, but it's a start.
Oh....you're speaking of the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th...ok ok.
Master the 1st first.

In order to go to another dimension, your physical properties would have to change.
You wouldn't want to go to the 2d dimension I hope. There, you would be immobile and there would be no concept of self.
If you wanted to go to my dimension, the fourth, your concept of self would change to a collective, where every being below your dimension would absolutely be inextricable from you, yet, they could not comprehend your reality.
You could not relate to them any more than a sheet of paper could relate to you.

There are several ways. But if you are not ready don't even think about it. What would be presented to you in that dimension might appear to be horrible and scary for the unprepared.

Listen very closely to Bush, Cheney, Rove, Frist, et. al.
Keep nodding your head in agreement.
It used to be called "The Twilight Zone". Now it's called "The GOP".
Oops -- if you ACT on what you hear, you may well get killed.

Mathematically, you can't. Physically, you can't. Your atoms may one day be foiled together with other dimensions, but the amout of space left between the atoms would be quite small. You'd be the size of a one cell altogether, probably smaller.

I think you'll be interested in a book called "Nothing in this Book is True".
It deals with other dimensions, getting there and all that good stuff.
Check it out :).
