Poor comparison Jake. The .22 is small bore target, plinker or very small game gun. The 9mm is a medium bore defensive pistol. The .22 is only suitable for defense as a weapon of opportunity. It has no recoil, depending on the ammo and barrel length, little noise. The 9mm has a louder bang even with subsonic ammo and it has a mild recoil in all but the smallest, lightest handguns.
Use the .22 to plink. Use the nine for home/personal defense.
Best.

actually, there is no comparison. A .22 has very little or no recoil and a 9mm is a moderately recoiling firearm. Both make a loud noise when fired, but the 9mm is muchj much louder. as for muzzle blast, the .22 has very little flame etc from the barrel, while the 9mm has a much more noticeable flash and venting of gases.

the .22 will have very little recoil, the 9mm round has about 4-5 times the recoil of a .22 round.

Why did you do it twice????
,22 has NO kick
.22 has VERY little recoil
9mm has some kick and medium recoil depending on the weapon.
The 10 points should be mine if I gave a sheeatt!

C'mon. Which is more powerful 22LR (BB Gun) or the 9mm (sling shot). Sling shot - no recoil. BB Gun - some recoil.
