I am a golfer in oregon. I was wondering if skycaddies are allowed in oga events and in highschool tourneys?

i believe so but they are for lazy golfers don't use it , if u make it to the tour they are not allowed i am a caddie at Troon North and we are not allowing them.

Skycaddies are allowed in all tourneys now. As far as range finders , yes, they are allowed as a long as they are not equipped to measure the slope.

You will have to check with tournament officials. Some tournaments allow it, some don't. Where I live about half of the tournaments I play in let people use rangefinders.


EDIT: coolcalmmundell, why is it for lazy people? Wouldn't tour pros be lazy if they have a caddy to carry their clubs and get yardages for them? Haha, well they do! So it makes sense to have a yardage finder for the average golfer.

The USGA rule says that the local golf association can approve the use of electronic range-finders. You would have to check with the OGA.
