I know there are alot of questions like this asked, so here goes: me & my bf have been together for a year and a few months, and it's only now that the relationship is rocky. We don't have fights or anything, and unlike most, we still have deep conversations; it's just the small talk we can't manage. A few months ago, when we were having the biggest problems, I caught him flirting with another girl and found out he had been flirting with her for a month before. I forgave him, and we said decided to try and work it out. Now, while we still have meaningful conversations, it just feels like things are becoming stagnant. To everyone else we come off as a great couple, but together we just..I don't know. I want to keep trying and so does he, but I'm just wondering if we're holding onto something that should just be broken off? Or if I'm just being too critical and the relationship is just going through a growing phase? Please help!!!!

You guys need a shared purpose outside the love you share. Typically its kids, work, sex, or religion. But you get to make up your own purpose thats the wonderfulness that is a human relationship, but if you don't! Then prepare for the end. Relationships need a guiding light, ancestors new this, thats why they made the institutions of church and marriage. BUT now-adays, these instituations have lost their power, so its up for you guys to rediscover SOMETHING that can fill the void. So in other words, your not going deep enough....
