What's the difference between a Greatest Hits games and the original ones??

Or you know what, what are Greatest Hits? And why the hell are they putting that "Greatest Hits" thing if it's just the same game?

The reason I'm asking this is because for a lot of good games, they seem to have a greatest hits counterpart. I've seen the GTA: San Andreas for $27.99 and the greatest hits one for $20.00, I bought the $27.99 one thinking it was better or something

I did ask from the personnel working there, that's also why I got the original one.

He said the original one was better and had more mature scenes in it. basically it was kind of uncut "supposedly"..

That bastard ripped me off.. damn

Aside from the labeling on the cover box and on the disc itself, the game is identical.

The new labeling is a different pressing from the original run of discs, after the game has been proven to have sold x-million amounts of copies. Because they are a bit older, and are proven sellers, they are sold cheaper.

Unless you're really anal about wanting the ORIGINAL art/labels, it's every bit as good as the original pressing.

They are exactly the same game. The ones labeled greatest hits are cheaper because they've been out for longer than 6 months. I got God of War (You shouldn't miss out on that one, but it's rated Mature) and I'm waiting for God of War 2 to become a Greatest hits, but I'll have to wait at least for 6 months.

Also, some games are cheaper due to the new generation consoles PS3, and X box 360.

I think u just got ripped off. they are the exact same game greatest hits just means that it is recommending it. sayin it is a good game. BTW i did the opposite with san andreas. i got a greatest hits version, then it broke and i got an original (it was all they had left) and you can not use the old data you had. IDK why but you can not

Sorry to say this, but it's the same game! Often, it is simply re-released as a "Greatest Hits" game, because of it's popularity and high demand!

Next time, ask one of the persons that work there to help you out!
