I honor and worship Him as I do the Father because He is God but I think they are one and yet still separate entities because in Genesis 6 God says, "Let us make man in our image."

One thing I've come to realize from asking these 3 questions about the trinity is that those who believe in it don't even agree what it is. Most of you say that the trinity states that Jesus is not the Father and some of you say that it states He is.

By same substance I mean that they are both God. I worded it like that because if I say God people immediately think "the Father".

I think the most important thing here is your heart. You have a heart that is truly devoted to the Lord and to God. Your concept is not far from the truth, but really, the Bible says that it is a mystery, and it will remain a mystery until we see Him. Then we will all collectively say, "I get it now!"

1 John 3:2
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

However, for discussion, lets look at a few examples that I believe God has put in His creation as visual analogies for us to draw from. It all has to do with a conception. That concept being that God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three distinct personalities within a single Godhead. It is like the concept of light. Is there such a thing as white light? Yes. Does it exist as one light? Technically, no. It exists as a compound unity of equal illumination of red, green and blue spectrum. So white light does NOT exist? Of course it does. But in the form of three-in-one. Science can explain it, and we have just gotten used to it. In the eternal, such things are equally possible and exist. God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all. What color? Pure white via a three-fold unity.

Let us look at water. We have one molecule with three atoms. Two with the power of hydrogen and one with the breath of oxygen. The Father and Son and the breath of God, the Holy Spirit.
When water is frozen, what does it become? The answer is not ice, it does not become anything, it is still water, just in a different form. When water is heated, what does it become? The answer is not steam, it does not become anything, it is still water, just in a different form. Water is all around us, just in the form of a gas. Water can become a solid, but neither change its molecular makeup of water.

It takes faith to believe that water is made up of unseen molecules and atoms. Just as the author of Hebrews writes...

"By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." - Hebrews 11:3

The trinity also relies on faith. Since God is spirit, His attributes are also spiritual. They make complete sense in the eternal, but to us, it is a mystery. There are things in the eternal realm that go beyond our simple minds and limitation of the 4 dimensions. How can Jesus be God incarnate? How can there be one tri-une God? When it comes to timeless eternity, you not only have to think out-of-the-box, you have to think quantum "out" and sideways.

To limit Jesus as being anything but God would be inaccurate. He is God entirely. While He was present in the physical limitation of time-space (on earth as a man) it was like a tree that you could see on the surface with roots in the Godhead in the unseen. When God came in the form of man, He broke through the time-space continuum in order to save those whom He loved.

1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

" Same Substance" what does that mean? My understanding of the Bible is that Jesus became a Man, a Human who walked this earth and eventually Died and was resurrected . I also read in scripture that No man has seen God at any time...So What do you mean By " Same Substance?" If you mean they Both Spirits at present well you right. Beyond that you need to be specific.

some e book of Mormon prophets look to no longer have understood the version between Jesus and his Father, fairly Abinadi. Others needless to say do comprehend. the assumption of the Trinity progressed over the years in an attempt to reconcile Christianity with Greek philosophy, which regrettably is like attempting to reconcile oil and water. Jesus stated, "And it quite is existence eternal, that they may be attentive to thee, the only genuine God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast despatched." Granted, he claimed to be Jehovah, yet he worshiped Elohim, to whom he cried out on the circulate. Jesus wasn't a heretic; he grow to be a fundamentalist who tried to come back to his non secular roots. Paul seconded him. there are a number of quite divine beings, yet basically between the gods is our Father in Heaven, and basically between the lords is our Savior and Redeemer. the father of spirits, the main extreme God: Created or accompanied or spirits; gave us divine skill and kind; and loves us. Jesus: Son of God, Shiloh, the branch, the Righteous Servant who could die childless and submit to the punishment for our sins. The Holy Ghost: A ministering spirit who has attained or been given divine prestige. all of us be attentive to no longer the rest approximately him, different than that he's likewise a new child of God.

The Nicene Creed was developed by the early Church as a "summary" of Christian belief...including the concept of Trinity. Christians accept this as part of their faith...Personally I find it an interesting academic study in both theology and cultural communications...but I AM including the creed here so you may up your own mind.

We believe in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man, and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father. And he shall come again with glory to judge both the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, who proceedeth from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, who spoke by the prophets. And we believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. And we look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen

Phil. 2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Jesus is God who humbled himself to be a man.
Jesus is God in the flesh and the flesh should always be in submission to the spirit as Christ was in submission to the Father.

trinity again...

it is already become public secret that Christians belief of trinity is ambiguous. They are in doubt but try to convince their self that it works. Many people changed to atheism or agnostic to fulfill their spiritual need.

Some who still maintain it just to stay away from rules, with a reason of free-will. You can do anything you want, you do not need rules. Act as I know what I have to do. Funny isn't it...

peace
