Nowadays, people are taught to respect competing religions. Yet, they're also taught that competing religions don't hold God's truth.

I don't think God has a religion. I think that God respects people for who they are.

Jesus told Peter that through Peter His Church would be established and that the gates of hell would not destroy His Church. Matthew 16:18. This prophesy was full filled on the day of Pentecost in the Book of Acts in Chapters 1 and 2.
This is not a competing religion but the only religion that Jesus approved.
It is not the Catholic Church because it was not established until some 600 years later.

God Say's the only religion he accepts is the helping of widows and orphans. Religion means to bind up, Christ came to set those free who are bound. So why would God want you to get into bondage again?

If you choose to believe in God. Then you should also believe that as your Creator God has givin' you the tools to decide what if any religion best suits your own ideas of how to live your life. This is a very personal decision and one that can only be answered by you.

Remember that religions are human interactions, and as a result, they are, by foundation, imperfectly focused. So, you must listen to yourself, the feelings that you have, and then determine if what you hear aligns with those feelings.
Regardless of the "truth" of any religion, ultimately, you find its truth through your life. Make it a reflection of that truth, and you are then true to your faith.

Perhaps they all came from God. If you look at them chronologically seems like each one doesn't condemn the ones before, just say that they are the current one to follow

God is the end destination of all religious paths. All will reach God; God has no need to have a favorite. Choose the one that most speaks to you.

learn the scripture - G-d's word. If it is stated this religion the one which G-d has blessed it, then it is.
