Yes. God said that anyone who blessed His people would be blessed, and anyone who cursed them would be cursed (Genesis 12). God also called the Jews the pupil of His eye (Ezekiel 12). Romans 11 says that all of Israel will be saved. No other nationality is given that promise.

Abraham was chosen to bring forth a son who would "bless all the nations of the earth."
Isaac was that child.
Isaac was chosen to be the father of Israel.
His son, Jacob was chosen to be the father of the twelve patriarchs. He had twelve sons. God changed his name from Jacob to Israel.
Each of his sons was chosen to be the father of one of the twelve tribes of Israel.
There have been people in the Bible who were chosen for different purposes, and not all of them were Israelis.
Israel turned from God time and time again. Before they had gotten well out of Egypt, they were already worshiping a golden calf...
Those who were paying attention know that Israel threw God off of the throne of Israel back in the days of Samuel, when they insisted that Samuel give them a human king. They wanted to be "like other nations". Even though God had Samuel tell the people what a human king would be like, they would have their way, and God gave them what they wanted.
Let's see...Saul was killed with both of his sons, next came David, and then, David's son Solomon...before Solomon's reign was over, Israel became splintered, and has never been the same.
"In the fullness of time" (I love that phrase!) God kept His promise, and "suddenly appeared in His temple", as He had his prophet Malachi tell the people He would do...but they did not recognize Him. In fact, the religious leaders of the day conspired to have Him murdered...never knowing that it was their own God and King they were betraying. Jesus warned them that Jerusalem would be destroyed, "not one stone standing upon another"...and sure enough, it wasn't long before Titus came along and fulfilled that prophecy. Amazingly enough, it seems that the famous "Wailing Wall" is actually a part of the Roman fortress that stood near the Temple, and all these centuries, the Jews have been mourning in the wrong place...
My own opinion, for what it is worth, is that Israel was chosen to bring forth the Messiah. When Christ was born, that purpose was fulfilled.
Those who believed God's promise, and who recognized their God and King, broke away from the main body of Judaism, and Christ's church, which He had promised to build, became a reality.
Jesus told us that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that NO ONE comes to the Father except through Him. No back doors, I'm afraid, for anyone, not even Jews, to slip through.
I'm afraid the answer to your question, then, must be "no".
God's chosen people are those who know Him, believe in Him, and trust Him.
I'm not sure, because I am not God...but I suspect that it is a pretty small group, these days.

In Judaism, being chosen means being chosen to bring the Torah and its paths for all peoples, to the world.
It does not mean "special" or "better than everyone else". This is a false teaching that the Church invented in order to turn Gentiles against Jews.

Bosco is right; christ's covenant with the entire human race supercedes the old covenant with a single ethnic group - that at least is catholic and mainstream protestant belief although obviously not fundie. Personally,I've always considered fundies more jewish than christian theologically. However it is important to remember this chosen people stuff is just based on a text that reads like Greek mythology except it's a lot gorier and has no uplifting qualities. I think jewish scripture (the OT,the Talmud, etc.) is simply disgusting.

they were instructed to use circumcision on their males as a mark of their being Jews, but they also circumcised their slaves! So it looks like all you have to do to be one of the chosen people is submit to circumcision!
Under the Law of the Jews a maiden on her wedding who showed no blood on the blanket below her could be returned to her father and stoned to death for not being a virgin!
cruel things for a loving god to demand

Julia D is certainly correct as far as the Jewish position; "chosenness" is a concept that has been grosslym horribly distorted over the centuries.

I do believe it is the "Israelites" that are God's chosen People and Yes they are still His chosen and will be forever!
He is just angry at them right now, for their great disobedience and worship of the sun.
Maybe, the new covenant shouldn't repeat the sins of the Israelites and take Christmas and Easter out of the church.
God Bless You!

Yes, chosen as far as called out, but I have not been taught by church to turn against Israel, on the contrary.... in fact, some members of Christendom love Torah and Israel.

Yes, God made a covenant with the Jewish people. They are His chosen. Christians are His adopted children.
