Drink stronger beers. Ones that are full of flavor and most definitely not light beers. When you have better tasting beer you tend to slow and enjoy it more.
As far as a slow drinking mix there isn't one. There are drinks like an Irish Car Bomb where a shot is dropped into the beer, but it is meant to be chugged. There are black-n-tans but they are beer mixed with other beer.
Start off by trying a Guinness only 124 calories per 12 ounce serving (Budweiser has 140). Many people find Guinness strong in flavor, you may also. After that look at beers form Samuel Adams or a micro brewery.

In addition to Black + Tans, we've made Black + Reds. That's the Lindemann's Framboise Lambic (raspberry beer) with either Brooklyn Chocolate Stout or Young's Double Chocolate Stout poured on top. The result is a chocolate-raspberry beer that is absolutely amazing, and makes a great dessert beer (also called a YoungBerry if you use the Young's) We've also mixed Blue Point Blueberry Lager with Oatmeal Stout on top, to form a Black and Blue (also called a Blueberry Pancake, because that's what it tastes like) There's nothing wrong with mixing beers, especially when they have 2 flavors that also mix well in the world of food. But they should be 2 very different consistencies, like stout and lager.

light or natural beers are as pretty light as they come. If you still want to drink and socialize with your friends without getting too drunk. I would recommend either switching to mixed drinks like smirnoff or Jack daniels lemonades whick are a few points less than beer. Or drink water between beers. It will keep you drinking but also dilute the beer you have already drank.

I'd switch to Guinness if you can stand the taste if not a real hoppy or thick beer. It sounds like your trying to fill your self up and a thicker more flavorful beer might be the answer. Light beer is meant to be smooth and easy to drink making it easier to chug a bunch.
The only mixed beer drinks I know of really jack you up. By your question it sounds like your trying to avoid that. But if not here are my favorites Car BOMB (Guinness, Baileys and Irish Whiskey usely Jamison) or my collage Favorite Root beer (flat keg beer with a shot a Amaretto) yum yum.

You could order some food with your beer or appetizers to slow down on the drinking and get some food in your stomach to soak up some of the alcohol. Also you could drink a glass of water between beers to lengthen the time between each beer.

What you can do is get a glass of ice.
Pour your beer into some ice and drink it like that.
It will be a good way to slow down the alcohol effect.
I like to do that at lunch in the hot summertime.
It helps you get fluids in and keeps ya from gettin sloshed.

Try making Red Beer! Mix equal parts Budweiser light with Spicy Hot V-8! Add a twist of lemon. I've never gotten drunk on it!
