I think it all depends on the situation. The woman, where you are and how you meet. Does she know you? Does she like you? Does she think you're a freak or a stalker?
Ok, so if you see a woman you like and she's never met you before, start with a casual conversation at first. If you're at the laundromat, talk about the laundry or the laundromat.
What are your experiences visiting this particular place in this particular neighborhood? Do you like it? Hate it?
Feel frustrated because you can't get a dryer, etc?
Is there another place you go to that's better?
Maybe you can ask her to go with you (or meet you there) next time and have lunch while you're waiting for the clothes to get done.
The point I'm making is...................Try striking up a casual conversation at first to see where things go and take it from there.
You never know, you may find out that she's the best thing since sliced pie or that she's just a SUPER B*@#$.
Either way, you haven't lost anything. In fact, you gained experience, knowledge, strength and courage to do it again the next time the opportunty strikes.

Since I'm a woman I probably can't help u. I don't get along w/a lot of females..as they can be shallow, chickens**t, jealous,and petty. Not to mention their many faces. I as a woman respond to a man who just starts a conversation..and can keep an intelligent conversation going with trying to work in the usual lines (they have 100% failure rate w/me. I hope that helped some....

first say hello and your name and just start by asking her questions about herself, like what is your name, the better you listen to her the more you learn and if a woman thinks you are listening she will be more open to talking to you....
