Well if there's no carpet to hold the allergens down does that mean floor is ineficient ?

I agree whole heatedly with the first responder.

Floor is best for allergies over carpet. And it is easier to keep clean.

Carpet is terrible for allergies, asthma and anything else! Carpet is make from chemicals and laid with glues that are very toxic. A hardwood floor for example, does not attract and hold allergens, is easily cleaned with a mop leaving no room for the toxic elements or dust mites (allergens), pollens, etc.

This is especially true when you have floors in the bedroom, it is best, while you sleep for 8 hours.

Not having carpet will help to decrease the allergens if you sweep and mop regularly. Also you can get one of those air filters and that will help out.

Carpets are havens for dust mites and other "Creatures" that are known allergens. Lose them!

hard flooring is easier to keep clean, therefor remains with less allergens

I think a tile covered floor is more efficient.
