It is best if you contact the agency that actually houses the records and let them do a professional, thourough search for you. i deal with people all the time who come to the sheriffs office saying "my employer did a background check on me and it came back with stuff that isnt mine.." this is because online companies most often do not have accurate information. Any changes made by the clerk, state attorney, sheriffs office (corrected info due to human error, id fraud, etc.) to public records are not sent to each individual internet company.

Do a search on the particular county clerk public records and viola! Lots of free information if you know where to look.

good luck its like everything has a fee anymore. the days of free information are in the past. you have freeDOM of information but its not 'free'
