I'm looking for a home theater system under $200 for my new 47" big screen. (all I can afford) Whats the best for my money, and where to get it? I was looking at Best Buy stuff like Phillips or LG thats on sale. Any thoughts? thanks

Your best bet is to hit your local CraigsList and find someone selling their 2-3 year old DD 5.1 system. Look for a name brand receiver like Yamaha, Denon, Kenwood, and 5 inexpensive speakers.

These separate systems will give you a LOT more options and sound better than the cutsie LG/Phillips/Samsung systems. These kit systems tend to NOT let you do more than play DVD's. Try and hook up a HD cable box - forget it. Buy a PS3 or xBox - nope.
