I am unaware of diseases transmitted via new toothbrushes. Hopefully the manufacturer has a quality control program, but in the light of recent news from Asia, that could be a leap.

Dishes, etc. can easily be washed in soap and hot water prior to use. A dishwasher is an even better option.

No, I would't be too concerned about sterilizing such things. You probably have more germs on your keyboard than thoses things.

I would wash them with soap.
I don't think sterilizing is necessary.

yes - anything you put in your mouth must be washed before hand.
