I think you should take them to school and use them for a science experiment. Try to melt the cheese and you'll find it doesn't melt like real cheese. I don't know if it is made of plastic or even a food product.

At this time you must bring in the English component of the lesson into play. Students should write letters individually to Hickory Farms to identify the properties alleged "cheese." You could even develop a list of 25 questions and place it in one letter addressed to Hickory Farms. Besides the cheese, "What is the mystery meat in the sausage?" "If you buried the sausage for 25 years, would it be as safe and fresh as the day it was buried?"

You get the idea. You could use that Hickory Farms box for an entire unit of instruction. Real learning would take place. You could expand on this later in a college science class.

Oh, I HATE those! They say, "I didn't take the trouble to really shop for you".

Here is what their website says about returns:

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, Hickory Farms® will gladly exchange your purchase for an item(s) of equal or greater value. Exchanges without a valid receipt will be honored at the lowest season retail value. No cash refunds/credit will be given. In the unlikely event that an item is brought back to the store for quality reasons, a home office refund will be offered only if an exchange of equal or greater value is not warranted.

Gourmet Rewards® purchases are non-refundable.

For commercial Accounts/Gift Express, please refer to the exchange/refund policy printed on the receipt.

I hope that helps.

I don't think you can put it on eBay. I agree with the person who said give it to the elderly or a shut-in, in your community.

I don't like them either. I was about to throw one out today when my best friend said she'd like it. I'd say just ask around and find someone who does like it and give it to them.

Otherwise, I like the idea someone posted about sending it to military people overseas, or donating it. I'll bet a homeless shelter would love to get it.
