His brother and he got their wings clipped when they were younger. The older one's wings grew back but the younger one's didn't. His feathers are often fluffed up and disarayed and he won't let me mess with his wing to look at it too much. Sometimes when he's preening it he'll squak agitatedly. His older brother'll peck at him sometimes, though that could just be a sibbling thing. I don't know... should I be concerned about his wing?

His wing was clipped a while ago, but I never thought much of his wing bothering until now. His major agitation started recently and he's been messing with his wing. Lately the two birds have been fighting more often, too.

I have had a ton of cockatiels. Check out his wing to make sure he doesnt have a broken feather. This usually can be very uncomfortable for the little guys. If he does jost try to pul it from the root. Hope it helps.

Sometimes when you clip the wings wrong, ie, you leave too much of the feather there, the edge of the cut feather can scrape and irritate his side, when the feather is full length, it's length makes it lay flat on the body, when it is cut right, it won't touch the body when they are folded, if they are cut wrong, the edges touch the body and scratch him. you should take it back to let the groomer/vet reclip or remove the bad feathers.

Take him to the vet especially since he won't let you look at and it hurts to clean it! Whoever clipped his wing didn't do it right so go the vet right away! Maybe if you could spray him and put baking soda it may help!

I do that if my bleeds a little that is what they do and it is better in no time! If not go to the VET!
