Citizenship is for life unless you renounce it voluntarily by signing a document witnessed by US consular officials. You can also forfeit it by being convicted of treason against the US. Other than that, just staying abroad for however long will not effect the loss of citizenship. Keep in mind, however, that some countries (other than the US) will require you to renounce your existing citizenship(s) in order to acquire those countries' citizenship (such as Japan or Germany).

You can never lose your U.S. citizenship if you are born here. I do not know the rules for if you were not born here and you get citizenship and then you move away. I would call immigration and ask

like the others said - you can never lose your US citizenship.
But what they dont tell you is that you MUST pay taxes to Uncle Sam no matter where in the world you live.
