a family member was arrested and under charges it has the number 901.04-6265 is this some kind of police code?? if it is does anyone know what it means

You are going to have to call your local jurisdiciton and acquire this information,, Each state penal code is different,
Best advice is call your police dept ,, Get ahold of the desk sgt and ask him,,,, If not call central booking at your sheriffs dept and ask them,,, they can clarify this for you,

If you do an internet search, including the city and/or state he was charged in, it will probably tell you what the code is.

I tried searching just the number string, but I got a math problem.

The 901.04-6 describes unlawful sex acts. Code 265 means.... oh no that's disgusting! Just kidding.
