The form for the 2008-2009 academic year is available on January 1, 2008. The form needs to be completed before the earliest financial aid deadline of all the schools you apply for. You can still do an estimated one if it is not completed before. I will include some free links below. Good luck!

The FAFSA for the 2008-2009 school year will be available as of January 1, 2008. That application will be used by your school to determine the amount of aid for which you qualify for the 2008-2009 school year.

It is best to complete this form as soon as it is available. The best way to complete it is to use your actual 2007 tax return. Note - you do not have to file your return early, but if you have the return completed then the data you enter on the fafsa will be more accurate.

If it is not possible to complete your 2007 return, then use your 2006 return and indicate that you will update the fafsa as soon as you have your taxes completed.

Yes, you can file the 2008-2009 fafsa on their website:
www.fafsa.ed.gov. If you have submitted at fafsa for 2007-2008, all of the name and address data will populate in the 2008-2009 form for you.

It seems you are also wondering about your financial aid for the winter quarter of 2008. That aid was already determined at the same time that they calculated your fall 2007 aid. Contact the financial aid office if you can't find your award letter which spelled our your award by semester/term.
