Monsignor Georges Henri Joseph Ãduard Lemaître (July 17, 1894 – June 20, 1966) was a Belgian Roman Catholic priest, honorary prelate, professor of physics and astronomer. Lemaître also strongly supported an expanding universe and, consequently, the Big Bang theory.
Of course I've read opinions on YA that Catholics are not "real" Christians, but most people think that they are. There are some very science minded Christians.

you can absolutely believe in science and God and Christianity at the same time. The problem is that there are so many people telling you that there is only one way of understanding God or creatioin and if you don't believe in it thier way you are wrong. THEY ARE WRONG. There are many many and I mean many christians who believe in evolution, science etc. and God. There are a lot of issues that you need you learn about to get to that point. For instance, if you read modern scholarship you will find that the the early sections of the bible are not considered historial based on science. Rather, they are based on many different writeers with many differnet pints of view of God trying to express thiers. For example, The creationi story where God created the earth in 7 days is believed to be written by who they cal the PReistly writer (P), the latest writer, around 900 BCE, who wanted to glorify God in a magical sense. Then there is another auther who said creation began with God molded us out of clay. Two different writiers.
The point is you will never find a satisfactory answer or a sure thing All you can do is study all you can. Study different religions, study modern Christian scholarship, etc.

I don't ignore any "facts of evolution". There are so few "facts" when it comes to origins that it's pretty easy to be a Christian, a scientist, and NOT an evolutionist without ignoring any "facts".
I believe the Big Bang as it is traditionally taught proves the existence of the Christian God, even if you don't accept Genesis as literally true. OTOH I think you can believe in a literal Genesis without denying any science -- except that perversion of science that demands that there be only naturalistic explanations for everything.

1. There are no facts to support evolution or big bang, they are theories without support.
2. There are many scientists who do not believe in either-either!
3. Science does not support big bang or evolution.
4. Belief in God, or faith as you call it, does not disagree with the facts either. Nor does it disagree with science. Evolution is not science-evolution is a phony religion. It will die. Get over it.

I am a Christian. I believe that God created the universe and all in it per Genesis, but over millions ++ years. I'm not sure about all of it, but perhaps humans started out without souls and God breathed Life (a soul) into them at some point--I'm still searching myself. There's no problem in my mind with all of that, except that the Big Bang had a Creator!

There are no facts in evolution, or the big bang. Only people who say they are facts. You cannot believe in Creation and evolution. If you believe the Bible, then you believe the Bible. If you believe in evolution, then you are COMPROMISING God's Holy Word, and adding to it. The Bible warns specifically against doing this.

I somehow feel the need to ask what you think the word "facts" means. Wisdom is greater than facts. If you provide me your definition of "facts", I can attempt to impart wisdom. Only a fool speaks in the dark.

A christian is a person who follows the teachings of Jesus. Love thy neighbor. Jesus never taught us to hate science! The 13th centruy catholics did that. Most of what people think of as "christian" are actually ideas made up by the Roman catholic church, not by Jesus.
