As a permanent resident of Canada, you have no hope of being a U.S. citizen. Your chances of becoming a Canadian citizen are very good. In order to naturalize in either country, you have to live in it for a certain amount of time.

As a permanent resident of Canada, you might be in a position to apply for naturalization in that country.

You would have to be a legal permanent resident of the U.S. for five years before you could apply for naturalization in that country. If you became a legal permanent resident of the U.S., you would have to give up your permanent resident status in Canada. You cannot be a permanent resident of two places at the same time.
