Actually most of the stuff in HK is pretty reliable. You just have to be able to bargain. I wouldn't buy anything from the street markets thought. IT helps to bargain in cantonese of course. If you are looking for gadgets that you cannot find in the US you should know that most vendors know what is available in the US and what is not. This of course will determine the price outcome.

Many places in HK are usually reliable. If you want cheap ones, go to Ladies Market in Mongkok or Temple St night market. Bargain!
