nope, he is still protecting pedophiles from prosecution. what are they trying to do to protect kids from being abused by priests? they relocate priests to another church. they hide the abuse. why? father O'grady abused hundreds of kids before they finally put him in jail.
if the pope would truly care for kids, he would do anything to protect them, but he only wants world leaders to give peace. at least he is trying to do something for world peace.

I really haven't heard what he's doing or what he's up to. I think he is a transitional pope that won't do a whole lot so that the church can kind of settle down after everything John Paul II did. I only know that he is very conservative. So I don't have an opinion either way.

He claims power over people that he shouldn't have.
He is changing the 'mass' to be in Latin - a dead language, but one that is very convenient if you want to disguise your teachings that are not scriptural.
It is all going pre-reformation when the RC's had control over peoples thoughts and actions.

I wasn't aware that the successor to St Peter (Himself appointed by our Boss/Saviour/Best Friend, Jesus Christ) needed to be "liked". He is simply the servant of God. Interestingly, quite a few answers show a depth of hate I find quite frightening, since they presumably come from so called Christian denominations. May God grant you all tolerance and love.

There is no "pope" in the Bible, so he's a false prophet like all the "popes" before him.
Catholicism is not true Biblical Christianity, and catholicism teaches a false gospel of works that leads to eternal hell (Galatians 1:6-9).

I don't care for any pope. As a Baptist I would never call a mere man the "Holy Father". Give me a break!

You need to spend some more time getting to know him through videos and interviews; try the EWTN web site or the EWTN TV and radio sites. People don't always come across well in videos and photos. It is when you get to know someone better that you can really judge their character.

Think about who's shoes the poor guy stepped into. How would you feel if you had to follow up after somebody who everybody liked.
