When ever a smoker smokes like right in front of me and blows the smoke near me I start fake coughing, and i mean COUGHING. They think I'm going to like cough up a lung or something.

I smoked two packs a day before I had kids. Stopped completely when I got pregnant with my son (took me about a month to quit). Started smoking again after I had him which I hated about myself but my husband was in Iraq and I was just overwhelmed. Cut down to about half-pack a day and never ever smoke inside or anywhere near my son. Now that I'm pregnant again I've stopped smoking, I'll admit I've cheated a few times but the cigarettes make me sick now anyway. I really don't want to start smoking again but, honestly, I probably will smoke at work.
I can make my own choices about what I'm doing to my body, I know smoking is bad, but it's my decision to do it. My kids can't make that decision for themselves so it should be a parents responsibility to protect their kids from harm, just because I smoke doesn't mean I want my kids to suffer the consequences

I do smoke but I don't smoke in the house. I go outside and do it. I use to when she would be in the car with but she sits in the back seat on the passenger side of the car and if I do smoke we let the windows down. It is not a good habit to have. And I am going to try to quit once again. She asks me all the time to quit and I told her I am working on it. I am at 1/3 pack a day. I have come down from a pack a day to 1/2 now I am at a 3rd. But I am getting some commit this evening or tomorrow and trying again.

I don't and I don't allow anyone to smoke around my son. He was a preemie and it can be even more dangerous for preemies than babies born full-term. My parents both smoke and they smoke in their homes and cars. I don't even allow them to smoke in their home when I am there with my son. If they did they would have to come to my house every time to see him. One of my older sisters has severe asthma and they didn't think that smoking around her was hurting her. She is in her 40's now and still has attacks that send her to the ER. It is just plain ignorance and stupidity for parents or others to smoke around children.

It doesn't matter if the windows are down. Do you have your windows down to smoke when it is raining or snowing? Your child is still breathing that garbage in. My parents keep a window cracked open and it still filters into the back of the car. It is completely selfish to smoke in a car when you have kids! It's like people that say that they keep their child's bedroom door closed. The smoke seeps in under the door. My niece's room at my parents house reeks of smoke and they keep her door closed all the time. Her bed reeks of cigarettes.

I used to smoke until I found out I was expecting and I gave up instantly people who say smoking is better than stress or its too hard to give up are selfish losers with no brain and as for smoking around children unless you are a compleate idiot dont do it most parents try to protect there children but if you do smoke you may as well kill them yourself

no i dont smoke. my husband does but not near the kids or me. he has to go outside and he cant smoke in the cars. smoking is disgusting and selfish. he has to quit b4 we have our baby in january

my mom smokes and i do too but she stoped smoking when she was pregnant and she started smoking againg when i was like 6 or 7 but i dont think its bad becaause anyways family smoked in front of us (me and my sister) even before my mom started smoking (again)

My husband and I both smoke.I know, very bad because Im an RRT. I smoked with all my pregnancies and I still do.We go outside though.
