Should I join Kiwanis, Rotary, or Lions club? Which one is a good fit for a 32 year old, professional, father of two?

Any are fine, but vary from local club to local club. What's best in your geographic area may not be best somewhere else.

Call each and go to a meeting and event by each. Your own experience will tell you which is best for you.

"Kiwanis is a global organization dedicated to changing the world one community and one child at a time." As a service organization we are primarily focused on activities that provide leadership and service opportunities for children. From BUG to Key Club and Circle K, our family of youth leadership programs is second to none. I believe Rotary is more business oriented and I know Lions supports youth, but not sure of all they offer. The Kiwanis family encourages interaction with all of our service leadership groups so it is a natural organization to help those less fortunate and many of us make it a family affair. This teaches our children to serve as they grow by example and by providing them the opportunities to do so in their school community as well as their town. Which ever group you choose, I am sure you will do well. Just because you are interested enough to evaluate all organizations before jumping in. I applaud your efforts. I have been in Kiwanis for 10 years and love my Kiwanis family and the activities that we support for youth etc. For more information please visit www.kiwanis.org. Best wishes for a successful life of giving and serving others.

Depends on what profession you are in. Rotary is my preference but it is geared towards people or businesses that want to promote themselves with other business folks. Meetings typically "cost" you a little extra to attend - be prepared to pony up some dollars each time. But they seem to do the most charitable work in a wide variety of areas.

My recommendation would be Rotary.
But then again I have been a Rotarian for 13 years.

Check out rotary.org to learn more about us.

We are extremely international, and hang our hat on the mission to eradicate polio in the world.

I will be traveling twice with Rotary this year. In February to Nepal to help physically challenged kids. And in March to Guatemala to help build an emergency services building in the hills.

If you would like to know more, please ask.
