I'm going to have to give the fella in your link a free pass on this one. He appears to me, from reading several of his posts and questions in recent months, to be a tolerant thoughtful person and I have to assume that he was triggered to vent a bit. Perhaps triggered by all the christian bashing that goes on here? If you consider all the blanket comments unfairly made about christians,..... well,..... it's a two way street. Maybe that was his way of defending his beliefs and making people think about questions and comments posted here.

ETA: Ah. I see he has spoken for himself up there. lol.

I an agnostic and therefore don't Believe in God.
So I personnel can't blame something for which there is no significant proof for it's existence or that it was the perpetrator of the crime.

It just would be fair!

I will need more proof before I can pass a sentence!

But if you can present me with conclusive proof of both gods existence and his guilt!
Then I will pass judgement.

Yes. The people who claim that we do that are apparently quite stupid.

If that guy is really an ex-Marine and a Special Ed teacher, we're in more trouble than I thought we were. He obviously shouldn't be allowed near weapons or children.

When life gets hard I blame the choices that I made.

I don't believe in a God......so how could I blame something I don't believe exists....I wouldn't.

Just like your spouse blaming you for their own drinking or drug problem you mean ? Personally I think the person directly below me is a deceased a**hole that is full of s**t { this makes me happy that I am not a proctologist } !

I blame myself

life seems to change, and yet stays the same

our decisions and judgments however differ and sometimes we make poor decisions

car accidents, earthquakes/ tornadoes.. well crap happens and how we deal with it defines us

Merry Mithras, gorgeoustx!

They're still unable to get their heads around that "no belief in god" thing. So they're not being dumb (exactly) but rather misinformed.

I don't think it's dumb, but I don't blame god, I just look around for somebody in Jersey to blame, let's see who is here, ah, Semper, it is all your fault. LOL

Dumb.. I don't particularly use that term myself, but I think it is just a general lack of education in what atheists really think.

Because it's something to do.

I'll say God damn it but it hardly means I believe in God. To me, it's just words expressing my dislike towards something.

In other words, its merely words expressing "anger." I could say "**** this" and I would have the same emotional backing to it.
