How do you throw knives in assassins creed!!!?

Question

i have no idea how to throw knives...how do you? ive read the book but i cant find it...and also, just if anyone knows, who are the retarded people who come and punch me for no reason when im trying to carry out an assasssination, they drive me nuts...and what are templars, and why do you they need to be killed...and what do they look like?

You earn the throwing knives in the later missions. you equip them using the d-pad left button and throw using the square button, just like any other attack. the crazy people that attack you are just that...crazy, lunatics sick people you just have to avoid them. templars look like knights, with big square helmets

you have to unlock the throwing knives
first you get 5 then 10 then 15 and you can refill by pickpocketing vigilantes
you selesct them by pressing left on the d-pad then you target with L1 and throw with square

also
the people that punch you are insane and they feel threatened if you walk too close

also
the templars look like regular crusaders
they have helmets on and red crosses on their clothes
the main difference is that their mhelmets are red
they arent easy to notice
i have 5/60 killed

they are added to make staying under the radar more tricky

In a city there should be thugs walking around. They usually are fat guys with a little holder on their back and a sort of beanie hat. Just target them and pickpocket him from behind.
