If I make a contribution by Dec. 31, 2007, can I claim that as a tax deduction for up to 2 years from that date?

It is a deduction in the year you made the contribution, only. In this case, you deduct from 2007 taxes

No, since it was made in 2007, you can claim it on your 2007 tax return, the one you file in early 2008.

you will get very little tax deduction ..this is so the government can get a bigger percentage ..i don,t know how you and others feel.. but charities seem to be getting less contributions from the public as they are not to sure how and where their money is going
