a friend want to travel in usa but he doesnt have a goverment id, he just have a highschool id, would they let him travel? he is traveling alone.

actually he still not legal in usa and he wanted to travel by airplane.

Where is he from? How does he intend to travel? If he wants to fly, it might not be enough, he should check with the airlines. If he is traveling by car, he can travel freely within the lower 48 states without any ID at all.

As long as it is a picture ID and reasonably recent, it should be OK. I know that MD provides an ID card for people who don't drive, so if the high school card doesn't pan out,try the state motor vehicle dept.

Whenever I travel, that is the only identification I have. As long as the i.d. is current he should be okay.
