I want to try new cat litter so I bought some Johnny Cat this morning, I like the clay, I have multiple cats. I was using Fresh Step, it seemed ok but at times it appeared like some of the shipments were different, the color varied and my house began to smell. Years ago I used to swear my Johnny Cat, now it is maximized new for multiple pets. My issue is that does Johnny Cat still withstand by its name, does it still withhold against odor. The color of the clay is so dark opposed to Fresh Step. Does this make a difference? Someone help. Should I return what I haven't used?

my cats are very particular about which litter is in their box. they prefer Tidy Cats for multiple cats or the Arm and Hammer brand cat litter with crystals... I am not too favorable of the Johnny Cat litter but maybe your cats will like it... if they don't respond well to it, I'd stay away from buying it again.

WOOD STOVE PELLETS is the best litte! Not only does it totally remove the urine odor but it absorbs the moisture, dumps out dry and the best part? You can buy a 40 pound bag for about FIVE DOLLARS! It's the same compressed pine sawdust pellets as Feline Pine so anyone using that stop wasting your money! It also doesn't track all over the place like clay litters and when you dump the pan it dumps out DRY.

You can find them at Home Depot, Lowes and other homestores and most grocery stores like the Safeway, Fred Meyer and Albertsons stores here in the Northwest US.

my cats wouldn't use their box when it was full of johnny cat. they accepted fresh step and tidy cats. but they are freakishly picky Siamese cats so i'm sure that has something to do with it! i've never had odor issues with fresh step, and i can get it pretty cheap at costco so that's what i've been using. i only have two cats though.
