I give my husband the proper respect. Men are to be the head of the household, but women are the neck! (try turning your head without a neck to do it with)

I concurr, however, you must also consider the verse, " when in Egypt, do as the Egyptians do", but I appretiate every verse in the Bible. Also it says that a good woman plows her own field as well as that a husband and wife should be equally yolked. And that is why it is important for a Christian female to choose a male whom will lead her in the proper spiritual direction. I agree completely with that verse and if it were followed in America today, we would have a much better ran country.

Hm, well I'm not a Southern Baptist, thank goodness. I think most people have a problem with that. And Eve was stupid, but Adam supposed knew better so he was the worse transgressor (some things never change).

This verse is lovely. Unfortunately alot of 'men' take this verse as a way to prove that men should dictate women. That is far from the case.
Read Galatians Chapter 6 on how a man should treat his wife and his family as himself. Who would be cruel to themselves??? Only a fool.
God is over all and is not cruel neither should mere man be.

In response to Timothy 2:11, consider Ephesians 5:21-33. Wives submit to your husbands, but , husbands love your wives as Christ loves the Church.

That refers to keeping the trap shut and not to gossip. And submissiveness is how order is kept in a family.Too many cooks spoil the broth.

When God created Eve from Adam's rib, he took it from the side - not from the head to be his leader, and not from his foot to be his footstool. From the side because he said she would be his helper. They work side by side and share in authority over their families. It is not the gospel of Christ for a man to exercise authority over his wife, nor vice-versa.

You are obviously taking this out of context.
Men were placed as the head of a woman and were treat them with honor.
I guess you beat yourself with your belt Eph. 5:28 - 23.
Christian men were to treat their wives as kindly and considerate as Christ treated the congregation.
Treat a woman treacherously and you will have to answer for it.

What I find funny is that if you had found a verse about love and quoted it instead, the same Christian women who have persecuted you for this quote would have revered you for the other. Hmph. The hypocrisy huh!

I do hope you are joking here...IF you are at all serious I suggest you go hide in your cave and spend several years there learning how to interpret context in Biblical verses rather than text proofing. You may well be safe in your cave away from all those women who know better!
