$28/hr * 2080 hrs = $58240.
HOH and 3 exemptions would reduce that to something like $40,590. That's in the high end of the 15% tax bracket.

Fill out your W-4 and then run your income through the federal instructions for your 2007 filing to see what gives. If your children are under age 17 don't forget you are entitled to a thousand dollars a head in CTC (child tax credit) against your federal income tax; which will reduce your tax liability from the git-go.
