What does it do to the dog?
Does it make it grow faster?
Why is it so expensive?
Can I feed my dog this?
Is it healthy?

I agree with Loki!
Why would a dog/puppy need all these supplements. If they are a heavy working dog than there are much safer things to feed the dogs than this expensive concoction.

Sorry I'd pass this stuff up and just get a high quality dog food.

Rf-1 Dog Supplement

It's a supplement.

Omega 3 fatty acids: are typically for coat
electrolytes: these are used up during heavy workouts
glucose polymers: Probably for energy
creatine monohydrate: Muscle Builder
colostrum: typically for puppies. It's usually rich in protein and carbs. I assume this is to help build muscle and provide energy. It can also provide intestical and GI support
glucosamine: Anti-inflammatory, especially to help joint health
MCT's: Medium Chain Triglycerides. These can act like a carb. They can provide energy and burn fat efficiently.

I wouldn't think it would make your dog grow faster.
It's expensive because the ingredients are fairly expensive.
Sure, you can feed it to your dog, but unless your dog is VERY active and working, it would be pointless
It sounds healthy, but is for a very specific purpose

I personally don't have any use for it. I would think a working Agility, working, or herding dog would be the target canine, but I dno't know that it would do anything that a high quality diet (with some fresh food thrown in) and a joint supplement would do.

Added: Loki is once again right on the money. It looks like a Pit Bull fighting and Puppy Mill site. Michael Vick seems to be the target audience.

RF-1 is a nutrient supplement for dogs. Here is what its promo statement says:

RF-1 is our nutrient-rich supplement for all dogs over 5 months of age and particularly for athletic and hard-working dogs preparing for an event. RF-1 combines powerful amino acids, colostrum, creatine monohydrate, MCT's, Omega 3 fatty acids, glucose polymers, vitamins, chelated minerals, electrolytes, glucosamine and other anti-inflammatory and immunity-boosting factors in a tasty blend that we believe is the best of it's kind on the market. Try it on your dog and you will see dramatic results in a few short weeks! RF-1 comes in a five pound vacuum sealed bag for complete freshness."

Here is the website: http://www.nationalcaninecorp.com/products.asp

Read about it for yourself. I don't think I would use it.

The only RF-1 I know is an electronics connector.

If it is an artificial supplement for a dog, I would not use it. Your dog needs, discipline, exercise and food and some love. It doesn't need growth hormones and any other junk we humans put into our bodies.

Wow. I don't like the look of this website at all.

Who are these people? Who designed the formula? What's it based on? Why does an adult dog formula need colostrum? Where is the science behind it?

Why is there no information on the company, and why do they only have 3 products?

And, more importantly, why does the Pit Bull on their home page look scarred?

I wouldn't send these people my money. Your dog is a baby. Put him on a good quality puppy food and don't worry about the supplements, unless he's actually a working dog.

Its a supplement for high stressed working dogs like racing sled dogs or hounds during hunting season. If I was going to use this with my huskies I would mix it with their water and give it to them immediately after a race or training run. Since my dogs already eat an excellent diet I wouldn't bother. I can't imagine your 5 month old pup would need anything like this. You could feed it to your dog. Its safe and not unhealthy but it is unnecessary. Save your money.
